At the beginning of June, some of the team here at Rapport had the opportunity to attend the Augmented World Expo in Santa Clara. After 2 years of virtual events, it feels great to be able to rub shoulders with like-minded entrepreneurs in person once more.

After 2 years of virtual events, it feels great to be able to rub shoulders with like-minded entrepreneurs in person once more. “AWE is a great show to catch up with clients, colleagues, and new prospects in person after what felt like years of endless video calls”,according to our CEO, Gregor Hofer.
AWE brings together XR experts and enthusiasts from all over the world looking to make industry connections or have exciting discussions about new and upcoming technologies.
We were eager to exhibit at AWE in order to present our latest Proof of Concept, enabling Unreal Metahuman Cloud rendering that is combined with existing Rapport functionality. This will allow our future customers to use stream rendered data without the need for specialised GPU hardware. It also gives us the opportunity to provide different types of rendering as we also offer WebGL and are considering other options in the future.
Our centralized demo page was put through its paces, with Gregor especially thrilled with its reception at the event “I was excited to show the latest demos of our early access Rapport platform to the world and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are perfectly positioned to solve the hard technical problems that are posed by building successful digital experiences in the metaverse and extended reality.” Particular interest was expressed in our ability to work with any type of avatar, from realistic to stylized, and its ability to integrate with myriad 3rd party software. Looking forward, we will review our future plans based on the positive feedback and questions received from the visitors to the booth.
Our new Business Development Manager, Sheri Bryant, was thrilled to have her first Rapport exhibition under her belt "It was so much fun to team up with Elizabeth and Gregor for a global team trifecta!We met people from around the globe who were truly impressed with our cutting edge enterprise technology. We saw huge demand for embracing Extended Reality, with Rapport being perfectly positioned to provide the needed solution of bringing brands' digital characters to life."
